Sweet baby Ridhi is ONE!
Mama and I chatted beforehand about his theme, and she was liking the "DONUT" grow up idea-- which I have done before for girls, but I hadn't done a boy's donut cake smash, so I was excited to do something new.
It was also so great to meet because it turns out that we live in the same neighborhood!
Ridhi's cake smash session started off on the bed, with baby in a knit romper from the client closet. Sweet Ridhi was a little nervous in front of the camera and wanted all the snuggles from mama, so we popped mom into a cream-colored dress from the client closet, so she could hold baby and still "disappear" in the photos (she wasn't planning to be in them!)

Can you even handle those big beautiful lips and loooooooooong eyelashes?
We also did some portraits of Ridhi on a grey backdrop with the classic ONE letters and wooden train. His eyes are SO expressive! You can tell he has a lot of things he's thinking about.
I love how the little yellow romper is falling off his shoulder in a few of the photos- so perfectly "baby." And you can see all those yummy baby rolls!
Ridhi liked the donuts better than the cake, I think! Mama sure knows her baby. Donuts were the right call, for sure.
This little plaid romper is also in the client closet. I thought it was the perfect "springtime" outfit for a little boy, and that it was casual enough to go really well with the DONUT theme. The colors of the balloons and backdrops all pull from the romper!
After cake, it's time for a bubble bath. Ridhi was SO CUTE-- he loved munching on a donut in the tub, playing with a rubber duck, and laughing at his mama blowing bubbles!
